Terry Anderson,
President, Advanced Ecology, Ltd.

Terry Anderson has over 14 years of conservation experience, with expertise in natural resource management, wildlife biology and forestry management. Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in the regulatory, operational and financial segments of the natural resource field.

Mr. Anderson’s professional career began in 1991 working with Silva-Tech/ South, Inc., an industry leader in reforestation and vegetation management. Mr. Anderson’s responsibilities included the development of natural resource management plans and the establishment of sustained timber harvest and wildlife management strategies. With Silva-Tech, Mr. Anderson established strong alliances with private, academic and regulatory professionals, and became one of the first biologists certified under the federal Stewardship Incentive Program. He initiated and managed some of the first multiple resource stewardship plans within the states of Texas and Louisiana.

In 1994, Mr. Anderson joined with Mr. Mike Bird to create Advanced Ecology, Inc. As President of Advanced Ecology, he has overseen a wide array of projects, ranging from small tracts to properties exceeding 100,000 acres. In addition to numerous projects in the Gulf Coast Region, Mr. Anderson has successfully completed complex natural resource projects in Utah, Montana, and North Dakota.

Throughout his career, Mr. Anderson has worked with a wide array of clients, including Fina Oil and Chemical Company, Hunt Petroleum Corporation, Huntsman Petrochemical Corporation, Temple Inland Corporation and Champion International. Clients from the public sector include Texas Parks and Wildlife, the US Army Corp of Engineers, the National Park Service and the US Forest Service. Clients within the conservation arena include The Nature Conservancy and The Conservation Fund. Mr. Anderson has also served on committees for many conservation-related organizations such as the Wildlife Society, the Texas Department of Agriculture, and the Association of Consulting Foresters.

Mr. Anderson graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management.
